Wanda Mowery, RN, BSN

Elder Care Coordinator

Wanda’s passion has always been in advocacy for seniors by assisting them in identifying the appropriate resources to help meet their needs.  With over 26 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, she brings a wealth of experience in health assessments and long term care planning, including care coordination, long term care, home health, and behavioral health care.

Wanda is originally from Loveland, Ohio and relocated to Central Florida after earning an Associate Degree in Applied Science (Nursing) from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio.  After retiring from the State of Florida, she returned to home health care part time, conducting long term care assessments and performing quality improvement activities.  After working and living in the Tallahassee area for 11 years, she relocated to Valdosta.  During her nursing career, she earned her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences in Orlando, Florida in 2007. Additionally, she is working towards her Masters of Nursing Degree at Walden University.

 

Wanda has one daughter who is currently in college studying to be a paralegal. She enjoys spending time with her six grandchildren. Her family also consists of Maya, her Siberian husky. Wanda’s hobbies include crafting, technology and learning about her family heritage and Native American ancestry through genealogy research.
