Wanda is originally from Loveland, Ohio and relocated to Central Florida upon earning an Associate Degree in Applied Science (Nursing) from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. Having worked and lived in the Tallahassee area for the past 11 years, she recently relocated to Valdosta. Having over 26 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, she brings a wealth of experience with assessments and long term care planning including care coordination, long term care, home health, and behavioral health care. After retiring from the State of Florida she returned to home health part time conducting long term care assessments and performing quality improvement activities. During her nursing career she earned her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences in Orlando, Florida in 2007. Additionally she has completed 15 credits towards a Masters of Nursing Degree at Walden University.
As her passion has always been in advocacy for seniors by assisting them in identifying the appropriate resources to help meet their needs, she has recently joined the team as the Elder Care Coordinator.
Wanda has one daughter Danielle who is currently in college studying to be a paralegal. She enjoys spending time with her six grandchildren (Kayleigh, Jacob, Joshua, McKenzie, Tyler and Madison ranging in ages 2 up to 17). Her family also consists of Maya her Siberian husky. Hobbies include crafting, technology and learning about her family heritage and Native American ancestry through genealogy research.
